APPLICATION FORMS FOR AUDITING THE KIPBS TRAINING PROGRAM

As an auditor, you will participate in the monthly onsite training classes and complete one case study activity. You will not be required to do the online homework, the two exams, and the second case study required of a full-time student. There is no degree requirement to audit the training. Auditors are not entitled to bill Medicaid for PBS services. Only full-time students who complete all of the training program requirements are eligible to submit Prior Authorizations for billing.

Below are the application materials required if you are interested in auditing the KIPBS Training Program. Auditors are not required to submit a full application, so you will only need to submit the following documents. (Please indicate on the application form that you are applying to audit the training.)

The Application Form (PDF | DOC), plus:

  • A. A copy of your resume or vita (please indicate what degree you have)
  • D. A statement of your educational or professional philosophy (PDF | DOC )
  • F. Certification of MANDT training (PDF | DOC ) (copy of certification attached)
  • G. Statement of availability of necessary technology resources (PDF | DOC )
  • H. Candidate Support Document - PDF (PDF | DOC )

To audit the training, you will need the following technology:

  • Access to computer technology
    • The minimum computer requirements for navigating the modules are:
      • Pentium I Processor
      • 16 MB Ram
      • Internet connection (browsers Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 6 or higher)
  • Access to the following software required for the training:
    • A presentation program (e.g., PowerPoint)
    • Microsoft Excel for graphing
    • QuickTime to run the supplemental CD or view the video clips online
    • A word-processing program (e.g., Word)
  • Access to a video camera with audio capability
